Just chugging along
Still more Legos occupying every flat surface in our home
Steve is on the hunt for a new job. His current position will be eliminated this summer as toothbrush manufacturing moves overseas. I'm thankful that he has interviews and opportunities, but the uncertainty is getting under my skin. We waited a week to hear any updates on the most recent interview, only to get a big, fat "no thank you". However, as that door closed, another opened and he has a whole new set of interviews lined up for May. So, while we play the waiting game, the boys and I are just trying to keep ourselves occupied.
They have no idea their world could be turned upside down (and maybe packed into boxes) in a matter of days or weeks. Perhaps I should adopt their 'ignorance is bliss' perspective. I'll just sit around building things out of Legos, racing matchbox cars and asking lots of questions. Someone else can worry about potentially selling the house, cleaning out the closets, moving with a dog and 3 kids.
Sometimes, I think adulthood is overrated.
