Steve and my mom decided they wanted to can some peaches this year. Steve carefully gathered all of the necessary equipment (including 40 pounds of peaches). I think they turned out about 18 jars in just a few hours. Steve and my mom decided they wanted to can some peaches this year. Steve carefully gathered all of the necessary equipment (including 40 pounds of peaches). It looks delicious right now.
I used to can fruit..and vegetables and jam. I loved to do it.
The biggest surprise was the taste. In the middle of the winter sun on the table.

I've never learned how to can fruit. The rewards of your labor will certainly be felt when no fresh fruit is available in produce. How fortunate that your mom came alongside of you to teach you such an art. Enjoy those peaches!
